Turkey issues statement in support of Akinci

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a statement regarding the latest developments in the Cyprus negotiations process.

In a press statement released yesterday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hüseyin Müftüoğlu said that Turkey shares the views expressed on this issue of reconvening the Conference on Cyprus by TRNC President Mustafa Akıncı.

“Our view is that the preconditions put forth by Greek Cypriot Leader Mr. Anastasiades for reconvening the Conference on Cyprus are contrary to the principles of the Leaders’ Joint Declaration of 11 February 2014 that all issues “will be discussed interdependently” and that “nothing is agreed until everything is agreed”. They are likewise not in keeping with the Statement from the Conference on Cyprus dated 12 January 2017,” he said.

Müftüoğlu recalled that one of the provisions of the Statement from the Conference on Cyprus was for a Working Group to convene in order to identify questions regarding the Security and Guarantees chapter as well as the instruments needed to address them.

“This task was fulfilled on 18-19 January in Mont Pèlerin. The second task which resulted from the Conference was for the continuation of negotiations on outstanding issues in the other chapters between the two sides on the island,” he added.

“Turkey expects the Conference on Cyprus to be able to reconvene without any preconditions, in keeping with the understanding in the Leaders’ Joint Declaration of 11 February 2014 and in accordance with the methodology which was foreseen but not implemented for the first Conference, namely with all chapters being addressed together, as also expressed by President Akıncı in his statements,” Müftüoğlu’s statement concluded.

The bales of hay are clearly unsecured, unevenly distributing the weight on the back of the truck. It looks like the whole load could topple at any moment. And because one of the bales appears to be unraveling, the vehicle’s number plate is obscured.

Steve Harvey’s Ex-Wife Mary Vaughn Sues for $60 Mill, Alleges Torture, Child Endangerment & ‘Soul Murdering’

Steve Harvey is facing a number of allegations leveled against him by his ex-wife, Mary L. Vaughn, in a lawsuit filed against the host on Wednesday, yet another legal dispute following the couple's bitter divorce more than a decade ago.

Vaughn, Harvey's second wife, is suing the TV personality for $60 million, claiming that during their marriage, which lasted from 1996 until their contentious divorce in 2005, she was allegedly subjected to "prolonged torture with the infliction of severe mental pain and suffering," according to court documents obtained by ET.

The documents also claim that Vaughn "attempted suicide by self-medicating [in] an effort to stop the pain," and allege that Harvey and his attorney caused "severe emotional distress" that led to a litany of medical conditions for Vaughn and her immediate family over the last 15 years.

Additionally, Vaughn is suing for alleged child endangerment, torture, kidnapping, breach of contract, conspiracy against rights, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and "soul murdering." The lawsuit also makes further claims of harassment, brainwashing, and theft by deception.

Vaughn's suit was filed by Essie Berry, a civil rights activist and not an attorney. The documents were filed "In Pro Per," which means the plaintiff would be representing themselves, and Berry is acting as Vaughn's power of attorney. TMZ first reported news of the lawsuit.

Official: Boy found dead in car that was stolen, 3 arrests.

GLUCKSTADT, Miss. (AP) — Three young Mississippi men were arrested hours after a 6-year-old boy was found shot dead Thursday in his mother's stolen car and the suspects will be charged with capital murder, authorities said.

Madison County District Attorney Michael Guest announced at a news conference that authorities plan to charge Byron McBride, D'Allen Washington and Dwan Wakefield in the death of the child.

Authorities found Kingston Frazier shot at least once in the back seat of his mother's stolen car, which Jackson Police Cmdr. Tyree Jones said was abandoned in a muddy ditch about 15 miles (20 kilometers) north of the capital.

Frazier had gone missing after 1 a.m. Thursday when a man was seen on video taking the car from the parking lot of a supermarket in Jackson, the state capital, according to authorities. About nine hours later, following a child-abduction alert and widespread publicity, a man reported the missing Toyota Camry was beside a dead-end road in the northern suburb of Gluckstadt.

Authorities publicly disclosed the boy's death Thursday morning while surrounded by grieving family members.

"A 6-year-old is gone," said Kingston's cousin, Kolby Irby. "His mother has to deal with this. That's her baby."

The three suspects were arrested within hours of the child's body being found, authorities said, adding video and a witness helped identify them.

Authorities said Washington and Wakefield are both 17. McBride's age was not immediately released.

In Mississippi, 17-year-olds accused of capital murder are tried as adults. The capital murder charge means prosecutors could seek the death penalty if the three are convicted, Guest said.

The district attorney also said it was possible the charges might change, adding the three are expected to make initial court appearances on Monday.

One lawyer said he is not yet officially representing one of them and declined requests for comment. Guest said the other two do not yet have lawyers.

Authorities did not answer questions at the news conference with reporters, and it's unclear what role each of the three suspects is alleged to have played.

Wakefield was a quarterback last year at a high school in Madison County, north of Jackson, county Superintendent Ronnie McGehee told The Clarion-Ledger. McGehee also said Wakefield had been dismissed from the team but didn't elaborate.

The mother, Ebony Archie, left the boy in the car, its engine running, while she went inside the supermarket early Thursday, sheriff's deputies have said. The store's parking lot is patrolled by sheriff's deputies, including one in a golf cart.

Security video shows that after Archie left, another car drove up and a man got out and then drove off in the Camry.

A child abduction alert was played repeatedly Thursday on local newscasts and police and family members issued public appeals for help.

"We've been looking for him for nine hours in every neighborhood in Jackson," said Deanna Moore, the boy's aunt. Addressing those who took the car, she added, "You could have just dropped him off."

The child's body was taken for an autopsy at the state crime lab and the car was towed away by police as they continue to investigate.

Working conditions and salary

Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) offer highly competitive and attractive salary and working conditions.

• Selected candidates will have a fulltime employment contract for the duration of 36 months.
• Selected candidates will receive a salary in accordance with the MSCA regulations for early stage researchers. The basic gross salary (living allowance) is approximately € 3.000,- euro per month. Brie Bella posted on her Instagram page late Thursday a photo of her sitting on a hospital bed and staring adoringly at her first child, newborn daughter Birdie Joe Danielson, lying there in front of her, as her husband Daniel Bryan stands over them as a proud dad and holds his exhausted wife's hand. The baby is wearing a knitted pink cap and her face is not shown. It marked the first public picture of the family as a trio.

The Total Divas star gave birth to the baby Tuesday night, past Brie's original due date of April 30. Birdie weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces and measured 21 inches long. E! News had obtained the first photo of the baby, which shows Bryan holding baby Birdie's foot as Brie holds the newborn in her arms.

Brie's twin sister and Total Divas co-star Nikki Bella also posted on her Instagram page late Friday a close-up photo of her holding baby Birdie's hand.

"Oh my sweet little Birdie," she wrote. "From the moment I first saw you I knew it was unconditional love. I promise to protect and love you forever and ever. And my Brizee, you are the strongest, bravest person I know. So happy God made us twins. Don't know this world without you. And wouldn't ever want to. Goodness I love you both so much."

Congrats to Brie Bella!

The Total Divas star welcomed her first child with husband Daniel Bryan (real name Bryan Danielson) on Tuesday, E! News reports. Bella gave birth to a baby girl named Birdie Joe Danielson.

"There is no better feeling in the world than meeting your daughter. I can't even express the overwhelming joy and love that Bryan and I are feeling," Bella, 33, told E! in a statement. "Now we know what parents mean about the love you feel when you first meet your child. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on the safety of Birdie coming into this world."

Bella, who was due at the end of April, shared her journey to motherhood with fans via Instagram.

"Oh the things we'll do to naturally induce ourselves lol .....I swear I've done ALL of them!! #6dayslate #40weekspregnant," she captioned a shot of herself sitting on a yoga ball on Saturday. "✨And thank you #BellaArmy for all your thoughts and prayers after our little scare at the hospital 😘❤😊."

US animal sanctuary kills all its animals including three tigers and three lions

The owners of an American animal sanctuary have come under fire for killing all 11 of its exotic animals, despite other rescue centres offering to rehome the three tigers, three lions and five bears.

The Lion’s Gate Sanctuary in Colorado said it was forced to euthanise its animals last month after it was denied permission to relocate away from a site that had repeatedly flooded.

Co-owners doctor Joan Laub and Peter Winney said in a statement they planned to build a new facility on 45 acres of empty land they owned, but were denied permission by commissioners who bowed to pressure from local residents in an "unfair" hearing.

In a statement the couple said they felt "the Elbert County Commissioners did not take... the plight of our animals seriously... [or] the safety of Elbert County residents seriously".

"We told them it was no longer safe to keep the animals at that location and we needed to move," they said.

"The commissioners made a decision based upon emotion, and not the law. The 'not in my backyard' crowd controlled the meeting and the outcome.

"As a result, 11 innocent animals paid the price."

Elbert County officials denied responsibility for the deaths of the exotic animals, saying they did not anticipate the outcome of the ruling.

The couple killed all of the big cats and bears at once without warning, having said in the hearing they intended to continue to care for them at the old site if they were denied permission to move, a spokesman for the three county commissioners said in a statement. .

Furthermore, the Keenesburg Wild Animal Sanctuary, also in Colorado, had “publicly offered to care for the animals at their facility if Lion’s Gate was unable to do so", the commissioners claim.

Dr Laub and Mr Winney claimed they did reach out to other animal centres for help, but nobody offered to take in their animals because most were very old. But several centres inside and outside the state dispute this, saying they did not hear from the couple and could have offered the animals a home.

Pat Craig, who runs the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, told Denver7 the couple were lying.

“Taking care of animals that are either sick or have long-term issues is part of our daily thing that we do here,” Ms Craig said. “We rescue... geriatric animals all the time where they’re definitely in the last phases of their life and most people think it would be traumatic for them to move and we move many animals and every one of them ends up very happy here, even in their elder years.”

Meanwhile the Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota said they were in a "state of shock" over the decision, especially as they had been "very vocal about our opening for lions in need".

In a post on Facebook the animal rescue facility said they had a long history with Lion's Gate, having rehomed five animals from the centre more than ten years ago when it operated under a different name and had a different owner. They urged members of the public to request an official investigation into the incident.

"It appears this tragedy was a selfish move by these private owners and had nothing to do with the welfare of the animals," the centre said, in a post that has been liked nearly 7,000 times. "Our heart breaks knowing these were senseless deaths of animals that deserved so much more compassion."
