BREAKING NEWS: It is estimated that there are over 506 people with AIDS virus in North Cyprus

"It is estimated that there may be 506 people with AIDS virus in our country"
According to KKTC-UNAIDS statistics, the rate of HIV / AIDS detected from students in North Cyprus 2016/2017 session have been estimated to be as follows: South Africa 23.1 percent, Zimbabwe 14.7 percent, Nigeria is 3.1 percent, Congo 2.9 percent, Cameroon 2.7 percent,  Iran 0.1 percent,  Libya 0.1 percent,  Egypt 0.1 percent,  Kazakhstan 0.2 percent and  Turkey 0.04 percent.  Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Palestine statistical data on the HIV / AIDS ratio have not yet been established. Accordingly, it is estimated that there may be 506 people with AIDS virus in North Cyprus. " 
"Based on the 2016-2017 academic year North Cyprus, there were over 70 thousand students in total living in cyprus, including 7 thousand Nigerians, 1800 Zimbabweans, 1900 Iranians, 1800 Syrians, 1700 Jordanians, 1100 Libyans, 1100 Iraqis, 950 Palestinians, 600 Egyptians, 475 Kazakhstanis and 52.135 Turks. The students visit for  education and training. 
 According to the information received from the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital Infectious Diseases Clinic, the Turkish Cypriot citizen of the country stated that it is not yet clear how many people have hepatitis B and hepatitis C. 
Given the large number of students in the country, he estimated that 3,199 of these students were hepatitis B and 762 were hepatitis C patients. Every year, 880 thousand people hepatitis B,  339 thousand people died of cirrhosis and liver cancer caused by hepatitis C. 

In the last two years, most of the active tuberculosis cases are university students from the third world countries," said Mr. Big, suggesting that His proposals on this subject  is that students should only be granted visas to the country after these students have successfully taken a chest film in their home country and received a clean health clearance and certificate.

Dr. on duty in an interview made a statement as follows:
"Our universities are undoubtedly playing a very important role in the promotion of our country as well as being an important economic contribution to our country and providing investment and business opportunities. However, if we are going to make this country a university country, then we must also fulfill the requirements for health. 
Both our inbound students must be insured and provided with the best possible health care services at the moment of need, as well as a screening to ensure that the country does not carry a disease threatening public health. In this context, for every student coming from 3rd world countries, lung film in terms of tuberculosis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV tests must be done. Otherwise, there may be explosions in these diseases in the near future"

Bad News for Mushroom consumers in North Cyprus: Three poisoning cases!

Toxic mushrooms were in hospital

After the rains, the mushrooms growing in the mountains and in the ovals brought danger. Three people ate mushroom (fungi) from the mountain in Girne have been poisoned.


Three friends named Kamil Yildirim (E-32), Fevzi Kaya (E-50) and Hürol Derman (E-42) were poisoned yesterday in Kyrenia. They consumed mushrooms they had gathered together on the mountain.
Three poisoned friends, were taken to the Girne Akçiçek Hospital after the first intervention in Nicosia by Dr.. Burhan Nalbantoğlu who refered them referred them to the State Hospital.
Kamil Yildirim, Fevzi Kaya and Hürol Derman were taken to the emergency services in the hospital. After treatment, it was learned that three of the patients who were taken under observation at the hospital and are now all in good health.
Experts warn
With the last rains, mushrooms began to appear in many areas. The habit of collecting mushrooms which is very popular in North Cyprus and sometimes brings danger. Do not collect mushrooms, especially those who do not have knowledge of "poisonous mushrooms". 
"There is a variety of red fungus that can be fatal upon consumption. These species that resembles the edible fungus is known as the red mushroom,  it is the most common type of mushroom. These confusion can cause mortality. 
Be warned!


Mushroom poisoning shows symptoms within 1-2 hours

Experts point out that the cultured mushrooms after been eaten takes a while to react, emphasizing that poisonous fungi are types showing symptoms after 1-2 or 8-9 hours, and that the symptoms of poisoning are fever, vomiting and nausea in the body.

Campaign for no violence against Women and Children, a New Crossroads family is reeling after the loss of their hard-working daughter to gunshots that claimed her life.
Unathi Sabsana,28, the owner of Unathi Take-Aways in Abonwabisi street was shot and killed on Sunday evening as she was arriving home.

Cape Town - The man who allegedly shot and killed Cape Town businesswoman Unathi Sabsana in front of her family has handed himself over to police, Western Cape police said on Sunday.
The 27-year-old man handed himself over at the Gugulethu police station in Cape Town on Saturday "when he realised police were hot on his heels", said Brigadier Novela Potelwa.
The man, whose identity is known to News24, cannot be named until he has appeared in court.
Potelwa said the man had been on the run since the shooting of Sabsana, aged 28, last Monday.
He faced a slew of other criminal cases against him, according to the police.
At the time of the murder, he was out on bail in connection with a house robbery in Gugulethu.
He was also due in court the day after the murder, last Tuesday, in connection with a domestic violence case involving Sabsana.
Last Wednesday, he was due in court for an assault case.
He will now appear in the Athlone Magistrate's court on Monday on charges of murder.
Detectives will oppose bail.
In the tragic case, Sabsana, who was a successful business owner, was shot at her home in Gugulethu in front of her parents and son, aged 10.
