Graduation Yearbook Photo Shoot
In order to have your photograph with your gown in our yearbook, you need to have your photograph taken from 09:00 to 17:00 in class EH 102 between May 28 – June 4 2018.
Those students who do not attend the shoot will not take part in the Yearbook.
Gown Rental
The graduation candidates of 2017 - 2018 Fall Semester, 2017 - 2018 Spring Semester and 2017 - 2018 Summer Semester, who have not attended the graduation ceremony before, may attend the ceremony.
It is mandatory to fill in the "Alumni Satisfaction Survey" via CIU-SIS before taking your gown.
To participate in the graduation ceremony, registration procedures will be made at the same time as collecting the gown. Wearing graduation hat and gown is mandatory for all the students who will attend the graduation ceremony. Students who graduate will be able to obtain their graduation hats and gowns from EH 103 between 14:00 and 17:00 from 28 May to 22 June 2018. Students need to bring the 120 TL downpayment receipt which will be paid to NOVABANK Gown Account (10-116-160010, (Working Hours: 09:00-12:00, 13:30-15:00) Name-Surname and Student number must be indicated in bank statement).
Students who want to get their 90 TL back must take their graduation caps and gowns back to the room EH 103 at the Education and Humanities Centre between June 29 – July 6 2018 from 09:00 to 12:00.
Attention: Registrations made after June 22, 2018 will be put on the last page of the call list and these graduates will be separated from their departments and faculties at the graduation ceremony.
Verify Your Personal Information
It is very important to check the "Verify Your Personal Information" section of your CIU-SIS access. In order to prevent potential problems, we recommend you not to skip this process.
If your information is correct press to CONFIRM but if it is wrong press to REJECT. If there is incorrect information in the "Verify Your Personal Information" section, go to the Student Affairs Office immediately and correct your information.
Termination Process
Step 1: All the students who will attend to the Graduation Ceremony have to pay the Graduation Fee. These students have to pay 120€ for the diploma expenses (diploma fee, transcript and approval processes of the Ministry of Education). All these payments will be made at NOVABANK.
Step 2: Request a "Termination Form" from the Student Affairs Office and obtain the necessary approvals from the relevant departments and faculty. Submit the completed form and the above mentioned payment slips to the Accounting Office no later than June 22, 2018.
Graduation rehearsals
Two separate graduation rehearsals will be held at Amfi Theater on June 25 and June 27, 2018 at 17.00
In the first provincial ceremony, you will be able to meet your group leaders and ceremony coordinators, and be able to report your wishes and complaints.
In the second rehearsal you will be able to learn and rehearse important details such as your position in the ceremonial area, entrance to the stage, taking photographs and getting out of the stage.
It is compulsory to attend to the rehearsals
Invitation Letters
To obtain a visa for the families who would like to attend the ceremony of the foreign students, letters will be provided by the Student Counseling Office, which is affiliated with the Student Development and Counseling Centre.
Note: Visa Processes may take 4 weeks.
Other Issues
- The seating plan to be held at the Graduation Ceremony will be arranged to ensure that all the graduates will be together.
- Every student who will attend graduation will be given their badge number.
- Badge numbers will be distributed to students during the Graduation Ceremony rehearsals. Participation in the rehearsals is important because students who do not take badges are faced with many difficulties on graduation day.
- It is important for graduates to sit back in their seats and wait for the cap throwing ceremony which will be held after getting the diplomas.
