Of Montreal announces new release!

Of Montreal, the experimental pop project of Athens, Ga.’s Kevin Barnes, have announced their 14th album. Innocence Reaches drops August 12 and follows the group’s two 2015 releases, the studio album Aureate Gloom and the live recording Snare Lustrous Doomings. Of Montreal also shared the album’s first single, “It’s Different For Girls.”

Inspired by time spent living in Paris, Barnes also noted in a press release that the album taps into contemporary sounds more than some of his other work has. “Forever I’ve been detached from current music,” he said. “I got into this bubble of only being in some other time period. I came up picking apart the Beach Boys, the Beatles, and symphonic pieces. But last year, I was hearing Jack Ü, Chairlift, Arca, and others, thinking about low end and sound collage. It was an extra layer to geek out on.”

Innocence Reaches was also something of a family affair: Barnes’ brother Kevin designed the album’s colorful cover artwork to show his “wonderment for the female anatomy.”

Wu-Tang Clan meets Interpol

Hip-hop and alternative rock are melding like never before in new music duo Banks & Steelz: The collaboration consists of de facto Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA and Interpol frontman Paul Banks.

Banks & Steelz premiered their debut track, “Love and War,” Thursday on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show. On the track, Banks sings the chorus, “If all is fair in love and war, what you keeping score for?” in a layered and electronic voice, as RZA and featured artist Ghostface Killah rap the verses over an ominous keyboard progression. The song will be available for through all digital retailers on Friday, and Banks & Steelz will release the song’s video that same day.

“When I met Paul, I recognized the New York energy he has as a music artist,” RZA, who’s been working with Banks since 2013, said in a statement. “We got to know each other playing chess and vibing out in the studio. Our talents connected in a unique way and we started writing songs. The outcome was something distinctively different from my previous work, yet with another layer of cool.”

Disney has given the Lupita Nyong’o chess drama “Queen of Katwe” an awards-season release date with a limited launch on Sept. 23, followed by a Sept. 30 expansion.

“Queen of Katwe” is directed by Mira Nair (“Monsoon Wedding”) from a screenplay by William Wheeler (“The Hoax”) based on Tim Crothers’ book “The Queen of Katwe: A Story of Life, Chess and One Extraordinary Girl’s Dream of Becoming a Grandmaster.” David Oyelowo and newcomer Madina Nalwanga are also starring in the film.

The story follows a young girl selling corn on the streets of rural Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess. She receives support from her family and community, and is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion.

Nyong’o is playing the mother of Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi, who is portrayed by Nalwanga. Robert Katende, who helped train Mutesi, is portrayed by Oyelowo.

Nyong’o won an Oscar for best supporting actress three years ago for her role in “12 Years a Slave.”

Lions garden Magusa is no longer safe and conducive!

Phyno live in Cyprus held over the weekend, 7th May 2016 at Lions Garden Magusa was a great success, judging from the number of fans that turned up. But you all will agree with me that the hall was so small, poorly ventilated and not conducive for shows anymore.
Lions garden will have to move to permanent site at some point.
We urge show organisers in Cyprus to consider a new venue with a larger capacity, probably outside magusa,  if Lions garden could no longer host big artists.

Mr 'B' from Nigeria said = "I experienced a muscular guy standing behind me whose D*ck made me feel uncomfortable.. He terrorised me with it until i had to tell him... 'Bros, How far na' Please ciuconnect I don't want you to post my photo or name" I covered my butt with the blood of Jesus! Lol
