You probably remember Sophia Grace Brownlee from when she and her cousin Rosie appeared on Ellen after posting a viral video covering Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” back in 2011. Since then, Brownlee has expanded from only posting song covers to releasing original music — she put out first single “Girls Just Gotta Have Fun” in 2013, followed by “Best Friends” last year. On Friday, Sophia Grace shared the first single from her upcoming EP, a collaboration with Silento called “Girl in the Mirror.”
The music video follows Sophia Grace as she prances around her pink bedroom singing about self-love and acceptance, periodically jumping into her mirror with a group of girls. Later in the video, Silento of “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” fame appears for a rap break about girl power, and then he and Sophia Grace enter a short spoken word section about self-acceptance.
